 Nintendo DSi Value Bundle

 pink nintendo dsi

I purchased two Nintendo DS handhelds for my kids over four years ago. My son was 6 and my daughter was 8 years old when they got them for Christmas. They are still in great condition and working great. The battery still holds a good charge and the kids still love their DS because they can PicoChat together and play games togther.

It wasn't until recently when my son upgraded his DS to a Nintendo DSi. GameStop had a special to trade in the DS for $70 and get the DSi for $99 or so. He paid for the upgrade! Not good old mom and dad! I loved it when he actually had saved up enough money from his Birthday and doing chores around the house to earn the handheld.

I know he would have taken good care of it even if I paid for it like he did with his DS. Now, since his own money paid for it, it's another level of commitment to really take care of it. It was a big deal for him to take all of that money for his wallet and give it to the clerk. I even was feeling sad to see it go!

My daughter hasn't upgraded hers and really doesn't care to because she is now in Jr High and she received her laptop. Spoiled kid...but $299 isn't that much for a new laptop which she now can use through High School hopefully. Back to her DS, it's 4 years old. It's in great shape and even though it's been dropped a few times, the screen works great, games still play well, the battery holds a good charge and the screen has always been protected so it didn't get scratched up.

Nintendo has done a great job with these units and whether you want a DS or a DSi, you'll get many years of use out of it. The cool thing about the DSi...a bigger screens, wireless Internet, two cameras with a 640x480 resolution, record voice, and play digital music which can be placed on and SD card and used with the DSi. That's really cool.

If you want to play music with your Nintendo DSi, the format I found to work when it's on and SD Card is .m4a (Apple). So what I do, is convert mp3 to m4a and it sounds awesome. I have tried .aac, mp3, wmv and a few others, but .m4a is the format which plays music on the Nintendo DSi. This is the software I use to do it. You have to pay for it, but you get 28 pieces of video and audio software for only $59 and you get unlimited upgrades! This audio converter and all the audio and video software by AVS4YOU really work fantastic...here is my affiliate link...hope you don't mind. AVS Audio Converter.
